Supervision

Clinical supervision.

Reflective, developmental supervision for early-career psychologists.

Dr Amelia Scott in session

Individual supervision.

I maintain a small number of places for the ongoing supervision of early-career psychologists and clinical psychology registrars. My approach is developmental and reflective: I'm interested in helping clinicians grow into their own identity as therapists, and become more confident, grounded and self-aware.

Alongside a focus on formulation — thinking carefully about how we come to understand the people in front of us — I'm interested in the clinician's own experience: the pressures, uncertainties and stresses of the early years. I'm a board-approved supervisor for psychologists in training, generally registered psychologists, and those seeking endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist.

Group supervision course

Growing as a therapist.

Most CPD for psychologists teaches a new modality or technique. This course does something different: it puts language and a framework around what it means to grow as a clinician — the processes that underlie effective therapy and effective therapists, whatever modalities you use. Each 90-minute session blends a didactic seminar, taught through case vignettes (including reflections from my own practice), with structured group reflection anchored to the real issues you face in your work.
